PsychologyCare Assessments

Sometimes, you may need an in-depth psychological assessment to assist with diagnoses and treatment planning.

We specialise in cognitive assessments for children and adults with ADHD, ASD, learning difficulties, challenging behaviour, and academic difficulties. We are here to help with whatever the concern may be.

If you are not quite sure what types of assessment would work best, our psychologists take the time to create an individualised assessment plan to suit you and your family’s needs.

Assessment Process

01.

Initial Consultation & Intake

Your journey begins with a one-hour consultation where we gather essential background information, discuss your concerns, and decide on the most suitable assessments.

Precise fees will depend on the presentation and necessity of assessment to make an informed diagnosis. A quotation of the fees will be discussed and quoted during the Intake Assessment with your psychologist.

02.

Assessment Quote

After the initial consultation, we will provide you with a detailed assessment quote tailored to your needs. The assessment process will only proceed once you have approved the quote in writing.

We may also request additional information, such as school report cards, feedback from parents and teachers, or specialist reports. This ensures a comprehensive understanding to inform the assessment and report.

03.

Assessment Selection & Administration

We conduct the necessary assessments tailored to your needs. These may include:

  • Cognitive Assessments: (e.g., WPPSI-IV, WISC-V, WAIS-IV)
  • Achievement Assessments: (e.g., WIAT)
  • Memory Assessments: (e.g., WMS)
  • Personality Assessments: (e.g., PAI, MCIM-IV, MMPI-2)

Specialised tools for ADHD, Autism, such as: ADI-R, ADOS, MIGDAS, DIVA.

04.

Additional Assessments (if required)

Depending on your needs, we may administer supplementary assessments such as:

  • Adaptive functioning assessments (e.g., ABAS-3).

Specific tools like the C-TOPP-2, T.O.V.A., CBRS (Parent and teacher), BASC -3 (parent and teacher), Conners-4.

05.

Scoring & Report Writing

Your psychologist will carefully score the assessments, analyse the results and compile them into a comprehensive report.

06.

Feedback Session

In this one-hour session, we review the assessment results with you, explain any diagnoses, and provide tailored recommendations to support you or your child’s goals.

You will also receive a comprehensive written report summarising the findings, insights, and recommendations.
