The PsychologyCare Team

Jasmine Anand

Clinical Psychologist

I’m a Clinical Psychologist who supports adults wanting to better understand themselves and their behaviours; build a stronger sense of self and identity; and create more meaningful, authentic relationships.

I have a particular interest in childhood development and how early relational experiences shape the way we understand ourselves, relate to others, and respond in adulthood. Many people come to therapy feeling stuck in ways that no longer serve them, whether that looks like anxiety, emotional overwhelm, relational difficulties, people-pleasing, or feeling disconnected from themselves or others. I offer a space in which we work to understand these experiences more deeply, looking beyond what is happening on the surface to explore the underlying, often unconscious processes that influence how you show up in the present. I approach this space with the understanding that much of what we struggle with often makes sense when we look at what has been learned over time, especially within childhood environments and past relationships.

I work in a relational way, integrating attachment, trauma and somatic approaches. This includes paying attention to how experiences are held in the body and nervous system, and how this shapes emotional responses and protective patterns. The therapy I offer is generally longer-term, and entails creating space for change that supports a more intentional and authentic way of living. I acknowledge that this work can be challenging and at times confronting, which is why I place a strong emphasis on safety and pacing, supporting you to engage honestly in the process. I believe meaningful change is possible, for anyone, when there is willingness, openness, and commitment to the work.

Sam Cristini

Clinical Psychologist

Working with a wide range of people, I often hear the common misconception that if you need therapy, something must be wrong with you. Therapy isn’t about fixing something that is broken. There are several reasons why someone might seek out therapy – some common examples include wanting to improve mood from feeling down or anxious, struggling with loneliness, feeling stuck or confused in life, wanting to improve communication skills or relationships, and unpacking negative experiences, among many others.

If you’ve ever wanted to learn more about your mind or emotions, been curious about yourself and your behaviour, or needed a little more support towards making a change, therapy is for you.

Together, we will work on strategies that address the root causes of your difficulties, build your self-esteem and independence, and help you move towards the version of yourself you’re seeking. I am particularly interested in helping you build a sense of purpose and identity through becoming aware of subconscious and automatic reactions that are getting in the way, unlearning unhelpful behaviours that may be keeping you stuck, and improving the relationship with yourself and others.

Working together will involve using a range of therapeutic techniques while providing other important experiences such as consideration, care, learning, curiosity, questioning, confronting and challenging, and humour. This could be a brief engagement, or one that requires a longer commitment, depending on what we require to reach your goals. I work across different services and settings in both public health and private practice, which allows me to meet a variety of people with diverse and different needs.

Whether you’re at the beginning, the middle, or the maintenance stage of your mental health journey, my ultimate goal is to support you to become your own therapist, for you to move forward independently with confidence.

Anthony Bligh

Master of Psychology (Clinical)

Hi, I'm Anthony and I'm a Clinical Psychologist. I've worked in many different areas of psychology but I most enjoy helping those who have been affected by psychological trauma and adverse life experiences to recover and restore peace and happiness in their lives.

I believe each person is unique and special and deserves to feel safe, confident, and in control of their lives. I feel incredibly privileged to have the opportunity to create a healing space for my clients.

While I have been trained in many different approaches, I prefer to use a combination of Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Eye Movement De-sensitisation and Re-processing (EMDR) therapy, and therapies for the treatment of dissociation (e.g. Internal Family Systems - IFS).

I focus on creating a compassionate and non-judgemental space to heal and grow at your pace, where you are always in charge of your treatment. I also enjoy working with and supporting neuro-divergence and adapting my work to fit with your needs and what works best for you.

I have worked in a range of mental health and alcohol and drug treatment services for over 20 years and I am also an experienced clinical supervisor, accepting new supervisees presently.

When I'm not working, I enjoy relaxing at home spending time with my pets and family, spending time in nature, and playing video games.
