About Jessie
Jessie is a Registered Psychologist who provides a welcoming, safe, and non-judgemental therapeutic space where children, adolescents and their respective caregivers can express their thoughts and feelings in their way, and at their own pace. She listens patiently and with an open mind, seeking to understand the experiences, needs and unique qualities of each family. Jessie cares about children and parents feeling seen, heard, and understood, and that their therapy experience is both nurturing and empowering.
Jessie is skilled at helping children, adolescents and caregivers make sense of their experiences and feelings and explaining complex psychological concepts in ways that are easy to understand. Jessie develops an understanding of everyone’s strengths, abilities and learning style so she can develop resources and tailor her approach to best meet their needs. She has great experience delivering therapy both individually and within a group therapy setting.
Jessie has a special interest in working with young children and primary school aged children presenting with social, emotional and developmental delays including Autism Spectrum Disorders.
She is available for psychological assessment and treatment for children and adolescents with a broad range of presenting concerns. Jessie uses evidence-based interventions.
Jessie works collaboratively with kindergartens, schools, medical professionals, and community services to determine what supports and approaches will improve children’s learning, development and wellbeing.
